Responsibilities and objectives:

- Conducting research and presenting solutions for health and treatment issues in related fields; eradicating tropical and infectious diseases

- Cooperation with other scientific institutions in the fields of basic, epidemiologic and clinical research

- Training human resources to carry out research in the fields of epidemiology and tropical and infectious diseases

- Initiating and expanding scientific cooperation with training and research centers in other countries and international organizations

- Carrying out research on prevalent and newly emerging infectious diseases
