The candidate for the chancellorship of the University is proposed by the Minister of Health, Treatment and Medical Education and holds the post for a period of four years after approval of the Supreme Council of Cultural Revolution.

Responsibilities

1. Supervising the implementation of the specified courses of action based on research, education and national policies

2. Supervising cultural and educational, research, treatment and health, financial and administrative, service and construction activities

3. Coordinating different units within the University with health and treatment systems in the province

4. Expanding relations with public institutes and organizations, domestically and abroad

5. Supervising the use of the allocated budget

6. Participating in conclusion of agreements between the University and state or private bodies and ensuring their legality
